White Yarrow Seed (Achillea millefolium)
White Yarrow is a hardy, drought-tolerant perennial recognized by its finely divided, fern-like leaves and distinctive, aromatic scent. Native across much of North America, it produces flat-topped clusters of white flowers through the summer months and thrives in full sun and dry, well-drained soils. It spreads by rhizomes and can form dense colonies, making it valuable for soil stabilization, erosion control, and as an aggressive ground cover in dry or disturbed areas. Flowers attract numerous beneficial insects, including predatory wasps and pollinators. For best results, sow seed no more than ¼ inch deep, as it requires light and warm soil temperatures (65–75°F) for germination. Mature stands can be mowed on a high setting to maintain vigor and limit spread.
