White Prairie Clover Seed (Dalea candida)
White Prairie Clover, also known as Slender White Prairie Clover or Bloka (Lakota), is a native perennial legume found throughout the high plains and central United States. It grows 1½ to 3 feet tall and produces elegant white flower clusters that bloom from the bottom upward during summer. The plant thrives in full sun and well-drained sandy, gravelly, or silt soils but rarely occurs in heavy clay or lowland areas. It’s well suited for prairie restorations, range renovation, and reclamation of disturbed lands, as well as roadside and park plantings. White Prairie Clover attracts honey bees, bumblebees, and other pollinators while enriching the soil through nitrogen fixation. For best establishment, plant seed ¼–½ inch deep in a firm, weed-free seedbed and mow above seedling height during the first growing season to control weeds.
