Culver's Root
Culver’s Root is a tall, elegant native perennial found in moist prairies, meadows, and open woods across the eastern and central United States. Plants reach 3–6 feet tall and produce long, slender spikes of white flowers from July through September. These striking blooms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Culver’s Root thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils, though it will tolerate moderate conditions once established. It’s an excellent choice for rain gardens, naturalized plantings, and pollinator-focused restorations, providing strong vertical structure and dependable late-summer color.
